
Dr Janika Blömeke-Cammin, PhD, MSc Health Science works as Deputy Head of Research & Innovation at OptiMedis, where she is responsible for developing, monitoring and implementing studies in healthcare research focusing on patient-centred care of people living with chronic conditions and on the assessment of patient experiences in primary care and the quality of care. Furthermore, her work focuses on the evaluation of care programs and innovations, as well as on the development of concepts to implement integrative innovative care concepts into practice.
From her professional background she is a physiotherapist and obtained her first degree in Physiotherapy, followed by a Master of Science degree in Health Sciences from the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, Germany. After her Master’s, she worked as a research assistant in the Quality-of-Life research group at the Institute of Medical Psychology at the University Medical Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf, where she also earned her doctorate degree. As part of her dissertation, she focused on the assessment of health-related quality of life in rare pediatric diseases.
