Dr. Aymeric Fouquier d’Hérouël is Principal Data Architect at the Observatoire national de la santé, where he is tasked with conceptualizing and implementing the observatory’s data strategy. With a PhD in Biological Physics from KTH Stockholm, Dr. Fouquier d’Hérouël has a robust academic foundation, complemented by a double degree in Physics and Engineering from KTH Stockholm and TU Darmstadt. His scientific career spans over two decades, marked by significant contributions to the fields of bio-imaging, systems biomedicine, and pathogen genome analysis.
Dr. Fouquier d’Hérouël’s professional journey includes extended research stays at Institut Pasteur and INRA in France, as well as Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, and pivotal roles as Research Scientist and Coordinator of the Bio-Imaging Platform at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine. His expertise in managing and analyzing large datasets, coupled with his proficiency in RNA biochemistry and computational bioimage analysis, has been instrumental in advancing research in these domains. He has also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle, where he further contributed to the development of molecular diagnostics methods and to the understanding of cancer biology.
In addition to his research and technical skills, Dr. Fouquier d’Hérouël is a certified leader and manager. His commitment to education and outreach is evident from his teaching roles throughout his career, where he has mentored numerous students and organized several workshops and conferences.
