
Sabina Nuti is the Rector of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa for the 2019–2025 term and a Full Professor of Business Economics and Management at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Health Science. She founded the Management and Healthcare Laboratory at the Institute of Management. Her research focuses on performance evaluation systems, efficiency, organization systems, and governance in healthcare. She is the scientific lead for the Performance Evaluation System of Regional Healthcare Systems, including Prems and Proms, covering over half of Italy’s regions. She also coordinates national and European research projects on healthcare management and policies and has published extensively. Since 2023, she has served on the Scientific Committee for Public Spending Review (Ministry of Economy and Finance) and the Technical Working Group on Hospital and Territorial Care (Ministry of Health). She has been a member of the European Commission’s Expert Panel on Effective Ways of Investing in HealthExpert Panel (2016–2022).
