I am joining the HealthIntelAct initiative from Canada, where I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology (Honours) at Bishop’s University and a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. My academic and professional path has been shaped by a strong interest in mental health and clinical practice, with a particular focus on applying quantitative and mixed-methods approaches to generate insights that inform health care delivery and policy.

Most recently, I worked as an Evaluation Specialist at Foundry, a provincial network of integrated youth services in British Columbia, Canada. In this role, I designed and led developmental, process, and summative evaluations to assess service portfolios across the province. My work involved strategic oversight of evaluation activities, mentorship of junior colleagues, and the translation of findings into actionable recommendations and evaluation reports for program funders. This position also provided opportunities to share knowledge through interdisciplinary publications, international conference presentations, and innovative evaluation strategies that elevated youth and peer voices.

Prior to this, I served as a Clinical Research Coordinator at British Columbia’s Women’s Hospital and Health Centre, where I coordinated clinical trials and behavioural studies in obstetric anesthesiology. In this role, I collaborated closely with research fellows and practitioners, ensuring methodological and clinical rigour. My proudest career moment, to date, involved conducting a study that assessed inpatient traumatic experiences of birth. This project ultimately led to the introduction of routine screening of peritraumatic distress for patients undergoing both operative and vaginal delivery.

My earlier work with Vancouver Coastal Health’s Carlile Youth Concurrent Disorders Unit combined evaluation and direct service. I conducted evaluations of mental health and substance use programs, including a system-wide process evaluation of the health authority’s COVID-19 response, which directly informed leadership decision-making. Alongside this evaluation work, I coordinated therapeutic wellness programs for youth, collaborating with nurses, physicians, social workers, and allied health professionals to deliver integrated, evidence-informed care. My research and evaluation experience, both during my studies and during my work experiences, has explored diverse areas including online behavior and moral development in adolescence, maternal recovery & patient experiences following cesarean delivery, and outcomes of youth mental health programs. This work has resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications and presentations at national and international conferences, such as the Society for Research on Adolescence, the Society for Obstetric Anesthesia & Perinatology, and the International Conference on Youth Mental Health.

Recognized with awards such as the Best Abstract Award at the Canadian Anesthesiologist Society’s 2025 Annual Meeting and several international conference grants, I bring a commitment to both scientific rigor and real-world impact. I am experienced in a wide range of methodologies, including longitudinal designs, clinical trials, qualitative interviews, focus groups, and mixed-method evaluations.

Across my career, I have been guided by a commitment to improving health care through research, evaluation, and data-driven insights, with a particular enthusiasm for quantitative methods. At the same time, I value the integration of patient and provider perspectives and lived experience in shaping research and evaluation priorities. Through the HealthIntelAct initiative, I am eager to contribute to collaborative projects, deepen my methodological expertise, and continue bridging academic research with practical innovations in health care.
